The theme for this year is “Bring it to the Table.” We are living in a golden age of tabletop games–board games, role playing games, card games, etc. Their surge in popularity comes with tons of new and exciting ways we can use these games (or variations of them) for learning, growth, and training. Whether it is a class that uses board games to teach leadership, a counselor using games to discuss risk taking or healthy behavior, a history professor using a LARP to teach the process of studying history, or many other methods, many games are being used in new and creative ways.
Our focus will not solely be on tabletop games, naturally. We want to look at ALL different simulations and games to help bring conversations, learning, and amazing debriefs to the table. Do you have a simulation or game in development in need of great feedback? Or perhaps you have an awesome project to showcase in our poster session? Or maybe you’d like to learn from our amazing keynotes? Whatever your reason for attending, we hope you will join us in Rochester as we attempt to Bring it to the Table!
