A Match Made in Mario: Dr. Stephen Slota
In his talk “A Match Made in Mario: The Sometimes Confusing (but Extremely Rewarding) Relationship Between Cognition, Learning, and Games,” Dr. Slota will discuss the learning science principles of games and game-based learning from an educational psychology perspective. He will also debunk some long-standing education myths and describe the many challenges of making compelling educational games.
Next WED, OCT 25 at 1:00 pm in Student Innovation Hall, the DHSS program and MAGIC Center welcome Dr. Stephen Slota from the University of Connecticut. Dr. Slota is an Assistant Professor, holding a joint position between the Neag School of Education and the Department of Digital Media Design.
